insulin, a great choice!!

Hello everyone. I would like to share my story on what its like to have diabetes. What my life was like before introducing insulin into my routine of managing my diabetes. Before I took insulin injections I was tired all the time. I had a great deal of fatique on my body. I was trying to manage my blood gluclose levels with a pill and diet alone. My numburs were in the 200 to 400 range constantly. I would get very tired after I eat. Also I would get very sick. I would start feeling as if I were drunk due to the high levels of my blood gluclose. I would see double, get a dry mouth and have to sleep. This is brought on by the level of sugar in my blood. I had a complete lack of energy not to mention my blood sugar levels were completely out of control! My doctor made the descision to add insulin into my treatment plan. When he discussed this with me I thought no way! Insulin! He said its best I use it on a sliding scale so the amount of units I inject is dependant on the blood gluclose numbers I have at the time. Anywhere from two units to 30 units. I thought I can't do this! This scared me terriably! I came home and cried. When I filled my perscription I had a box of needles a vial of insulin and some alchol wipes. I sat and looked at this terrified that this was going to be awful! When the time came to use the perscription I followed my doctors orders. To my shock and suprise it did not hurt at all and I started feeling better! Not only better I started feeling great! The needles are truely painless and the insulin kept me from feeling that awful drunk feeling! Insulin took all that fatique away! I don't even feel a pin prick when I have to inject! My numbers are now able to stay in normal range with the help of insulin! All that fear was for nothing! It turns out my doctor choosing insulin for me was the best thing he could have done! Physically and emotionally I feel great! I must testify to all people who have the fear of insulin , there is no need. It was the best thing that's happened to me! Now I take my shots as needed usually twice a day depending on my numbers and I feel wonderful! No pain no fatique and its keeping my numbers where they should be. I must say choose insulin! You will be suprised at how great you will feel! I'm so greatful to my doctor for making the choice for me! You won't be sorry to make this choice! Insulin was what I needed to feel healthy again. It just might be what your needing also. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor! I'm promising you it is utterly pain free the use the insulin needles! You will be suprised! Make the choice of insulin! I'm glad I did!
